ugh...

After doing some clean-up on the codes of my sites, I discovered that my RSS feeds have not been updated for about...oh..4 YEARS!!! Ugh! So I fixed the glitch on the feed, you will have to redo your linkages for the feeds. Sorry about that.

Oh glory!

So I finally got around to updating romesplace.com...and how. I've been working on a new design for it for about 2 months now and I have it in a very good spot to actually launch this site! I'd say that this site is still in beta phase, I have a few other nifty things that I want to add and I'll probably clean up the code a little more, but for the first time in YEARS I'm happy with this site.

So what else has been happening? Well, busy summer with lots of weddings and getting ready for my first child to enter this world. I'm so happy! I'm giddy every time I think about being a daddy. In case you are wondering and if I hadn't already told the few people that actually come to this site, my wife and I are having a girl this winter. So excited I can't even tell you.

For those that follow along with romesplace and the few and far between ramblings, the house is doing good. Though the front lawn is an eyesore and embarrassment. Friggin' crab grass has taken over. *sigh*

I'm working on new paintings, but I wanted to finish this site up first before I dived in. However, I just got Starcraft 2 and I willing accept the distractions and time consumption that game will bring. But I will persevere and paint all next week since it's going to be great weather outside to actually do large scale oil painting.

Finally, I want to say Happy Anniversary to my wife Jenn, this has been the best 5 years of my life and I'm so glad that I'm sharing my life with you and that we are having a baby! Love You!

so...it's been awhile since I've updated

Ok, my plans to update this site every couple of weeks with updates and stuff has failed miserably. My last real journal post October and nothing really memorable has happened. Just stuff around the house and busy at work. So really nothing spectacular to warrant a massive journal post. There are only so many ways I can make house updates exciting that would keep people interested; hence the lack of updates.

So, for this post I figured I'd just share that Jenn and I are enjoying the beautiful weather. The landscaping is in a lot better shape this year than last. We have a minor ant problem in the front yard, but nothing we can't handle.

Vacation planning...maybe. Not sure where we want to go but I'm we'll figure it out. Still in the deciding phase.

I'm taking a programing class. I've been wanting to learn JavaScript for a while and now I have the opportunity. It's great and I'm learning a lot.

Also, this has been cracking me up all morning: Acoustic Kitty

the holidays

What a busy time of year. Friends, family and travel. It's a different feeling this year since we are in a rental during the holidays and the rental just doesn't quite feel like home. The countdown is 22 days till we move into our home. Really can't wait.

Speaking of busy, work has been really busy as well. I'm so happy to have a multitude of projects to work on and know that they will be completed in a relatively short amount of time instead of dragging on endlessly. These projects are also pretty big and several are nearing completion. I can't wait to put them on display as I feel that they are some of my strongest works. When they do get put up (posted to cogwurx.com), I'll be sure to post here.

Economic woes...tis a hard time to be trying to sell my comic book collection. *sigh* I was hoping to sell it this year, but it looks like I'll have to find new place to store my six boxes of comics till things start picking up again. I should have tried to sell them years ago instead of holding on to them. Too many distractions and an infantile desire to not give up stuff are my excuses for not putting my comics up for sale long ago.

There really isn't much else going on. These last few weeks have seemed a blur to me. I can't recall much. I know many things have happened and I don't have the gift of gab to be able to expound upon the various things in my life to make these posts more interesting. At most I make things vague as I really don't know who comes to this site and there isn't much interaction. I've thought about added the wordpress plug-in to this site to make it a more up-to-date blog instead of the old school postings. At least then I can have family comment on things. But, then would I still be vague or more open?

Well, until next weeks ramblings...Have a Merry Christmas!
